Just remember to look down, all around, and even up into the sky.

Photography by Any Means Necessary

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Been going though old negatives today.  So many rolls that have been shot over the years.  Light that has inscribed on to bits of celluloid memories.  Sheet after sheet of film of hand developed black and white.  I long to go into the darkroom again.  For now I have to be content to keep on clicking and expanding the medium that I love best.  Photography, by any means necessary.

Jungle Fever in Chiba

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Continuing on from yesterday, where I turned left where I usually go straight I came across all these beautiful fiberglass animals.  Just waiting for some kiddies to come on by and give them a little bit of attention. The gorilla got smooched, and wanting more. More smooches, more love, more of it all.  It was tucked along side a back street that just went on and on for a few blocks.

The Other Way

I turned left today where I usually go straight.  I wanted to know what lay down the road.  The day was gorgeous, the sun hung high up in the sky.  It was a good day just to wander and let my lens lead the way.  Beauty lies all around us, all one has to do is open your eyes and truly look for it.

Collage for Five Friends

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

This piece appeared in a small show in Urayasu, Japan over the weekend.  It was nice to see it all put together before it is dismantled and sent to friends all over the world.  Thats right, I will take each of the five panels and send it to those creative souls that I know.  It will then only exist in digital images as a complete piece unless I can get all five together at the same time in the same place.  Bon Voyage.

Moon Over Minami, Kasai that is

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

The moon literally stopped in my track as I was walking back from the station tonight.  It was full and ripe in the early winter air.  It hovered just over the danchi I pass by to get back to my home.  I wish I had a longer focal lens rather than my wide little Ricoh, but it will just have to do.  I also caught this hidden sign tucked behind a bush at Kasai Rinkai Station.

Crooked Smiles

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

This is the lower portion of the same political poster that the Fuji San image came from.  The smile was so wide, so plastic, I just had to snap it.  Also, I just adored this headless mannequin in a store front window in Ichikawa.
