Relaxing and regaining my energy, these are images shot but not uploaded during the week.

I was fortunate to curate an exhibition on the Flickr group Shade that opened this week.  I had to choose from many of the fine works that are represented on that group.  The theme I chose for the curation was Reflections.  Reflection is a method of expression that many artists, especially photographers explore.  Therefore I would like to invite you all to have a look at the current exhibition Reflecting on Reflections.

The image that set off the curation

I love that pause that starts Friday night.  The time to recoup my strength.  A chance to restore my mental and physical energies.  I time to reflect on the week, and plan the week to come.

I give thanks that I made it to another Friday night.  A lovely ritual of home cooked food, a glass of wine, the warm glow of candles, and the company of my wife.  It is a beautiful ritual.

One usually sees oneself in bits and pieces.  Never quite able to put all the bits together and see the whole.  It is a struggle to understand the self as a whole.  I hope though the art and process of photography I will better be able to understand the self and the world that the self inhabits.
