I subscribe to the method that Collage is scraps and pieces of torn life glued onto cardboard. Life is memories, experiences, images all jumbled up and then somehow becoming a singular expression. In my paintings and collages I experience these ideals played out on whatever surface I had at hand .One series of paintings in paticular were inspired by the masters of old world paintings. The framing and compostion were copied, yet they are infused with modern energy. Layers of paint and stencils cut from my photographs merge into this series.Please click on the image to view the series.
