Monday, June 15th, 2009Going Back to Key West
Sunday, June 14th, 2009It has been 3 months since I walked down Duval Street with Jerry. A beautiful breezy day in the most south one can get in Florida with out hopping on a boat. The boom of bass coming from a convertible. The lazy breezy days on a patio with paint slowly peeling away. The picket fence that is slowly dissolving to gray. The bicycle that floats from up above. I miss you Key West.
A Stroll Around Ichikawa, Chiba
Friday, June 12th, 2009Lovely warm summer day, luckily not too hot, yet.
So as I set off for Ichikawa station, I turned right, where I usually turned
left and discovered a cool old part of town, or as the Japanese say “下町”
Lots of beautiful old buildings. You know the kind, don’t you? The kind of building
thats been around so long the patina just pulls you on in. The combinations of wood, copper, and rust.
I am a sucker for it all.
