The Little Things at Nokogiriyama

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

The fog and mist enveloped just about everything at the abandoned stone quarry, Nokogiriyama.  The fog rolled over the mountain and just drenched all the surfaces.  The stone appeared to soak up the water until it couldn’t anymore then the rocks just shone.  They were glossy and covered with moss, lichens, water, and all sorts of things in between.

The little things all add up to the big picture.  They build and accent each other.  All harmonizing together to become what I experienced in the jungle at Nokogiyama, in the wilds of Chiba prefecture.

Urban Space Step Details

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

The stroll around the little red light district behind Tsudanuma station yielded some macro treasure.  Some up close urbanized details of a city that is in flux.  An every changing landscape filled with oxidizing metals, faded stickers and lights that strain the eyes.  Into this urban space I step.  Into this urban swirl I play, live and rest.

Rest, those weary eyes, so that your soul can open and retain it’s former glory.

Under the Macro Monday

Monday, April 26th, 2010

The day started off lovely enough.  The sun was high overhead and the warmth filtered though my skin and into my bones.  On by daily stroll to and from the station, I paused to take stock the rest i had been blessed with over the weekend.  I felt energized, and all lit up around me.  I looked closely, real close to see what was in store for my lens today.  Macro, the minute detail, enlarged to be observed by the viewer.

The one powerful seed that was begun the process of breaking down the wall.  Making Babylon crumble to the ground.  It is just a weed.  Something others will just uproot.  I just want to see it grow and prosper.

Enlarge it up so that you can see the inter connections of the world.

Its cold again.  After the brief relief from the cold yesterday it returned, and tomorrow there is a chance of snow again.  Ummm, what am I going to to.  If it does snow at least it will make for some nice strolling out and about in the town.

Ice-tails

Some ice-tails from the snowfall from the other day.  I focused on the details, the macro, the surreal the icy and the plain cold.  I will hence forth label these and ice-tails.
