Dusk Comes to Kasai

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

After a nice day of rest I ventured around my local station to get some food, and grab some shots.  The night life was just beginning.

The colors are so saturated, and lively.  The beer was ice cold.  The air conditioners are cranked to high.  Just another night in Kasai.

Can Wind Produce Muted Light?

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

I would like to ask this question, “Can the wind produce muted light?”  I do not have the answer to this question, only that it is an interesting question to ask.

The wind was blowing hard all day today.  If were living in a house made of straw I would have had to run for cover.  The light just seemed to be perfectly diffused as I made my way back to the station.  The colors seemed more alive.  The shadows were less harsh, even though the sun was out in full force.

Looking into Shibuya

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Looking into some of the window of Shibuya, I get the feeling that there is no rhyme or reason why some of these store fronts still exist.  Shibuya is full of trends.  The trendy teen’s mecca for shopping and clubbing, yet in the heart not far from the station, there is a shop that is selling clothes for the over 70 crowd.  It looks as if no one has actually stepped into the shop for 15 years.  So, wander, get lost and see what turns up when you turn the corner.
