expression

33 to 1 by John Walford

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

John Walford blessed me with another poem inspired by one of my images.  A big shout out to john for taking the time to use his senses and see anew.

Thirty-three little blue faces turn
To catch the rays of the unseen sun.
One grey dish it’s face too does turn
Towards unseen beams, airwaves
Bearing from afar sights and sounds
That in turn make our heads turn.
And your head, your eyes, which way
Will you turn, and what will you absorb?

YES ! and an Arrow

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

YES!

Scratched deep into the layers of paint at Urayasu station.

The anguish, the pure expression, reaching out of the cold, damp

just to say YES!

And then there is the  arrow.   Scribbled on a post caught about on

one of my wanders.  Pointing in a direction that I will never travel.

We all must choose the way to journey.

Life, Death and the Beautiful in Between

Sunday, May 3rd, 2009

Headaches makes one take stock, reevaluate, stand up and be counted.  This past week being troubled by headaches even though I am officially off of work, and suppose to be able to relax.  Not able too.  I started thinking back to my trip to Paris in 2007, the trip and love of a lifetime.  To be surrounded by such beautiful culture, good people, like Frederic, Ann Sophie, and Patrick, who helped to introduce my wife and i to their city.  All was beautiful.  My only worry was which film to load, and where should we stop to have a noisette.

This all leads me to here.

Where are we going before our bones lay under the cities walls.  There is so much joy in between.

We need, I need to seek out the joy.  Love the precious life that we are given.

Hand Camera

An exploration into the symbiotic nature of the camera fusing into the soul of the photographer. On the other side the expressions shows the true nature and power of the art.

a fusion, and morphing of technology into a non stop able creative force.

The Fujipet Goes to Miami, 2009

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

The little vintage analog camera Fujipet made the long journey with me half way across the world to my home town of miami florida.  There I put it to good use as a companion in my runnings, journeys and daily life in South Florida.  The raw, simple tool leaves little between myself and my imagination.

enjoy the images taken in Miami, Key West and the Florida Keys.
