Golden Hearted Opportunities to Come

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

This lost and found object spoke to me on my way home from the station.  I haven’t been focusing too much on the lost and found items recently as I have been searching out new subjects.  However, this one spoke to me.

The tiny golden heart on a cold winter day was surrounded my the warm ring of fuzz.  The gold reflected the gentle dusk twilight.  As I looked into the heart I could see so much that is to come.  There are opportunities that will open up.

The unseen will be seen.  Those new subjects that I am searching for will be found.  Not only what I am searching for, but I pray that our communities will find them too.  There is so much distractions in the world.  People lust after the precious metals. Humans devour the earth in search for them.

But, this tiny scrap of gold is not what I desire.  In fact it is not what we all should be desiring.  We should be looking at the reflection.  We should be contemplating our path, and our place in this world.  We should be seeking our voice and perfection in what we choose to pursue.

Look into the golden heart. and see what it will show you.

I Got Lost in the Bedazzle

Saturday, January 15th, 2011

In my continuing series of lost and found objects, I came across this rhinestone studded hair clip in my neighborhood. It was just shinning in the setting sun.  The sparkles of those rhinestones, and the glint of the golden paint.  Such a gaudy and beautiful object.  Just sitting there on top of a electrical box at a traffic light.  Sometimes it is the simplest of pleasures to brighten my day.  So, be on the look out for that shine.

Lost Time

It is lost time, or it is time that has been lost.

I guess it all depends on one’s point of view.

Lost Time

In a Humid Haze

Monday, June 28th, 2010

The humidity pushed pretty close to 100% today.  The only saving grace was that the actual temperature was not that high, but it did feel like being smacked in the face when I walked out the door.

Everything took on a soft glow today.  I speculate that the water molecules in the air refract more light than on a dry day.  The hues were bright, as perspiration slid down my arm.

Those lost treasures that have been waiting though all weather. Hoping to be picked up and reunited with their owners again.

So stay cool.  Keep the water cool and the beer ice cold as we head into the wet season.
