Found this wind torn poster fluttering in the wind the other day on my way back to my home.

For immediate release ! ! !

A miniature Mt. Fuji has been found on a local politician in the Ichikawa area of Japan.  Do not be alarmed, everything will be all right.

Took a bunch of pics over the long weekend.  I havent had the time to properly

sort though them yet, so to satisfy my needs a few nice pieces of street art found

in the Shibuya neighborhood.  The poster of Prime Minister Aso is an instant favortite

of mine, and i love that it was pasted up under a child’s slide.

Lying in the street, the poster once held some spell bound.

No all that is left are colors quickly fading and a smile that is full of black emptiness.

The Rotten Truth comes out.

The red Ribbon draped over a rusting side barrier.

The color calls out, to anyone who will notice under the gray filled skies.

It seems to me the older I get the less I fall victim to political hot air.

This is exactly what led me to investigate, flip, and abstract the political

posters in Tokyo.

The posters often fall prey to vandalization which I completely understand.  Ripped, torn

defaced, all add to the uniqueness of each image.

Just a a tattered remains of a poster pasted up about 18 months ago.

I love subverting the images that the politicians use to try to corrupt us.

Politicians want to evoke power, control and fear.

This is of course not what it needed in the world.  We need far more

than fear.  We need tenderness, we need to feel the warmth of each others

hearts.  The sun shining down on our faces.

We need to put our hands into each others out of love, not fear.

I have made the decision to update and upload a small backlog of the graphic design projects I have done over the past few years.  Some are from projects up and coming and others are those that have passed.  I approach design much in the same way I create an analog collage.  It is all about layers and layers of images, and text until the you reach a point of fruition.
