Only One Spiderella

Monday, November 1st, 2010

After it raining on and off for the past couple of days, I only found one spiderella by the side of the road on my journey to and from today.  Poor, poor spiderella…..

Only One

The Return of the Spiderellas

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

The rain returned with destruction on it’s wings.  The rain fell hard like stones.  The wind whipped up the leaves and debris, and the Spiderellas came out as the rain lightened up.  It seems like whenever the storms hit the streets are covered with the Spiderellas.  It is much in the same way as in my home town of Miami that earthworms litter the the sidewalks after a a downpour.  Catch the Spiderellas as you can, for they will be gone in the bright sunlight.

Rain and rained it did today.  It poured so hard that I couldn’t see out my window.  I do like the rain, as long as I am not caught in the middle of it.  I saw a common species that inhabits the streets of Tokyo after a big storm.  I have named this species the “Spiderella.”  They can be found by the side of the road, sprawled out soaking up the sun after the rain stops.
