Big time respect!

The other day after some rain I noticed what I thought was a stencil in the shape of a bearded man.  Upon a closer look I realized that the beard was in fact some kind of fungi-like growth.  Always something interesting in ones own neighborhood.

The weather had been cold, rainy and windy when I found this little fella the following day.  Even the best at what they do, need to take cover.

I love the way no space is wasted in Japan.  There is so little of the valuable stuff that people tend to make the most ingenious gardens.  Full of life squeezed in between concrete pillars and asphalt streets.

After it raining on and off for the past couple of days, I only found one spiderella by the side of the road on my journey to and from today.  Poor, poor spiderella…..
